![]() We are showing that we agree with the handful of Lib Dems who have agreed to Greg Mulholland’s Early Day Motion (EDM- see below), we are showing that we support those Lib Dem MPs such as Charles Kennedy, Sir Menzies Campbell and Tim Farron who have indicated that they will VOTE NO. 2000 emails in your inbox, and on your phone, every single day, cannot be ignored! Yours protestors on the streets can be ignored if you don’t go into London on that day, and don’t watch the news. What is proposed is not right for the future of higher education. Sometimes the bravest thing to do is to acknowledge that you need to think again and it is time for the Government to do that now. Even if the overall proposals are the best way forward for higher education funding, which I and many others don't think they are, they simply haven't convinced people this is the right way forward and that is no way to make policy. I urge you to support him, and sign the EDM. The Government must drop plans to push through a vote on fees on 9th December. I also congratulate and support Greg Mulholland on his EDM urging the Government to put these plans on hold until proper consultation takes place. I urge you, as a representative of the hundreds of thousands of student voters who confided in you, to ensure equal access to Higher Education is maintained for the sake of the future of this country, to follow your peers and VOTE AGAINST the fee increases. I congratulate and support the Lib Dem MPs including Charles Kennedy and Sir Menzies Campbell who have indicated that they will maintain their pledge to students, and vote against the proposed fee rises. The Liberal Democrats have the power to stand up for what they pledged.
